The annual meeting of the Poultry science Association was held in Orlando, Florida July 17-20, 2017. Approximately 1250 professionals and students representing 39 countries attended the four days of 53 symposia presentations, 227 posters, and 350 scheduled oral presentations. The student competition of PSA set a new record with 220 students participating of which 19 were undergraduates. Students and faculty of the University of Arkansas Poultry Science Department received prestigious awards at the 2017 Poultry Science Association annual meeting. Our investigators (Drs. Fred Dustan Clark and Michael T. Kidd) attended the meeting and Dr. Fred Dustan Clark received the Phibro Extension Award. This award is given to a member of the Poultry Science Association for conducting an outstanding program of work in the area of poultry extension and outreach during a five-year period.
