Investigators of the project visited Zhejiang Agriculture & Forestry University and Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences on November 15th, 2017

On November 15th, 2017, executive director of Wal-Mart Food Safety Collaborative Center Dr. Zhinong Yan, director of International Affairs of Wal-Mart Mr. Will Watts, Drs. John Kent, Ed Pohl, Chase Rainwater and Ronghui Wang from University of Arkansas, Drs. Ming Liao, Jianmin Zhang and Ms. Xiaoyun Qu from South China Agricultural University, Dr. Jianhan Lin from China Agricultural University, Dr. Yingchun Fu from Zhejiang University, Mr. Chenjun Min and Xibin Zhang from New Hope Liuhe poultry company visited Zhejiang Agriculture & Forestry University (ZAFU) in the morning. The president of ZAFU Prof. Yibin Ying introduced the departments, programs and research activities at the ZAFU. And then, the group toured ZAFU campus and visited the College of Animal Science and Technology. In the afternoon, the group visited Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ZAAS). Vice president of ZAAS Dr. Hua Yang briefly introduced the history and structure of ZAAS. Then, the director of the Institute of Quality and Standard for Agricultural Products Dr. Yuwei Yuan introduced the research projects and activities. We had a discussion on the pathogen screening and antibiotics detection technologies, risk assessment methods and potential collaboration.
