Presentations at 2018 Gamma Sigma Delta Student Poster and Oral Competition

The 19th Annual Gamma Sigma Delta (GSD) Student Poster and Oral Competition (Arkansas Chapter) was held on March 16, 2018, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Three graduate students of our project team attended the GSD student presentation competition. Xinge Xi (Ph.D.) and America Sotero (Master) gave an oral presentation with title “Surface Imprinted Polydopamine Based Magnetic Separation and Quantum Dots Based Fluorescent Detection of Pathogenic Bacteria in Food Supply Chain” and “A Portable Impedance Aptasensing System for Rapid Detection of Salmonella Typhimurium in Poultry Products”, respectively. Wenqian Wang (Ph.D.) attended the student poster competition and won the First Place award in the 2018 Doctoral Poster Presentation. The title of her poster presentations was “A Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor Coupled with Magnetic Nanobeads-based Immunoseparation for Rapid and Sensitive Detection of E. coli O157:H7”.
