Our Investigators attended IAFP 2018 annual meeting

The International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) 2018 annual meeting was held at Salt lake City, Utah, from July 8th to 12th, attended by more than 3,600 of the top industry, academic and governmental food safety professionals from six continents. This event provides information on current and emerging food safety issues, latest innovative solutions to new and recurring problems, and the opportunity to network with thousands of food safety professionals on a worldwide scale.

Attendees from our team include Dr. Yanbin Li, Dr. Ronghui Wang, and PhD student Wenqian Wang from University of Arkansas; Dr. Wen Wang and Dr. Guilin Yang from Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Dr. Wen Wang presented her poster titled “Quantitative Risk Assessment of Salmonella spp. In a yellow broiler supply chain in China” on July 11th, Wednesday. Eileen Hyde from the Walmart Foundation and Will Watts from the Walmart Food Safety Collaborative Center showed a high interest on the poster and had a nice discussion on it. PhD student Wenqian Wang presented her poster titled “A LSPR sensor coupled with magnetic nanobeads-based immunoseparation for rapid and sensitive detection of E. coli O157:H7” on July 10th, Tuesday. Dr. Ronghui Wang presented her poster titled “A Label-Free QCM Sensor for Rapid Detection of Avian Influenza Virus Based on Polydopamine Surface Imprinted Recognition Polymer” on July 11th, Wednesday.
