The 107th annual meeting of Poultry Science Association (PSA) was held at Marriot Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas, from July 23rd to 26 th. Over 600 abstracts for oral and poster presentations and 10 symposia were presented in the full meeting, along with a 4-minute presentation as a new session. Latest science, as well as major challenges in poultry industry were presented and discussed in the conference.

Project member Dr. Michael T. Kidd and PhD student Wenqian Wang from University of Arkansas attended the meeting. Dr. Michael T. Kidd was granted the Fellow of The Poultry Science Association, which is one of the highest distinctions of a PSA member can achieve. PhD student Wenqian Wang presented her poster titled “Modeling and kinetic characterization of the cross-contamination of Salmonella in poultry chilling process” on July 24th,Tuesday.
