The opening ceremony of Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center

On October 19, 2016 in Beijing, the opening ceremony of Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center was held at the Westin Hotel. From the University of Arkansas, Dr. John English, Dean of the College of Engineering and Dean of the Walton College of Business, Dr. Yanbin Li, Distinguished Professor in Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science, Dr. John Kent, Director of the Supply Chain Management Research Center, and Dr. Chase Rainwater, Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering, attended the ceremony. Many investigators in China attended this ceremony, including Dr. Ming Liao, Vice President and Professor in Animal Diseases, Dr. Jianmin Zhang, Professor in Food Microbiology, and Ms. Xiaoyun Qu, Research Associate, from South China Agricultural University (Guangzhou); Dr. Maohua Wang, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor in agricultural engineering, Dr. Jianhan Lin, Associate Professor in information and electrical engineering, Yuhe Wang and Xinge Xi, graduate students, from China Agricultural University (Beijing); Dr. Yibin Ying, Vice President and Professor in Biosystems Engineering, Dr. Jianping Wang, Professor in Agricultural Engineering, and Dr. Yingchun Fu, Associate Professor in Biological Engineering, from Zhejiang University (Hangzhou); Dr. Wen Wang, Research Scientist, from Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Hangzhou). As grantees, they accepted the trophies from Walmart President and CEO Douglas McMillon and Walmart Foundation President Kathleen McLaughlin.
