Delegation of Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ZAAS), China, visited University of Arkansas (UA) and Walmart Distribution Center from July 15 to 18, 2018. The members of the delegation include Drs. Hua Yang (Vice president of ZAAS), Qiang Wang (Institute director, Institute of Quality and Standard for Agro-products, ZAAS), Guoqing Chen (Institute of Citrus, ZAAS), Guohong Yu (Office director, Office of Project Construction, ZAAS), Hu Zhang (Associate research fellow, ZAAS), Yingping Xiao (Associate research fellow, ZAAS), Guiling Yang (Associate research fellow, ZAAS) and Wen Wang (Co-PI of the Walmart project, ZAAS). The delegation toured UA campus, visited different labs at UA, and had a meeting with Dr. Michael L. Looper (Professor and Head, Department of Animal Science), Dr. Nathan McKinney (Assistant Director, Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station) and Dr. Heather Lyn Nachtmann (Associate Dean for Research, College of Engineering), respectively. The potential collaboration between the ZAAS research team and the researchers of UA in the area of agriculture and food safety was discussed. The delegation also toured one Walmart store and visited one Walmart Distribution Center.
