Prof. Yanbin Li was invited to speak at the 1st International Symposium of Animal & Plant Health and Quality & Safety of Agro-products

The 1st International Symposium of Animal & Plant Health and Quality & Safety of Agro-products was held in Ningbo, China, November 16-18, 2019. Prof. Yanbin Li was invited to give a speech at the meeting. The mission of this conference was to explore the cutting-edge frontier, promote scientific and technological innovation, encourage academic communication, strengthen international cooperation, and establish a global network for information sharing in the field of agricultural product quality and safety.

During the meeting, Prof. Yanbin Li gave a speech entitled “Biosensors and Risk Assessment Modeling for Pathogen Detection and Early Warning in Food Supply Chain”. In this report, he introduced the critical control points for food safety in food supply chain and current research progress of biosensors for food safety detection. He highlighted the importance of risk assessment models used to predict the consequence of foodborne pathogens. At the same time, he briefly introduced the research progress of our project “Poultry Excellence in China” funded by Walmart Foundation.
