I. Isolation and identification of Salmonella

In February 2020, the team from South China Agricultural University carried out the isolation and identification of Salmonella in Guangzhou, collecting 88 chicken samples from supermarkets and markets (four supermarkets and one market). A total of 28 Salmonella isolates were isolated, with a positive rate of 31.82%. Climate information such as background information and temperature were also recorded in detail.

II. Site survey to the poultry company

On March 6, Prof. Ming Liao, Prof. Baichen Jiang, Prof. Jianmin Zhang and Dr. Wenjie Song from South China Agricultural University, together with Zhu Chunlin, General Manager of Zhuhai Yuhong Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. , went to Guangzhou Kwangfeng Industrial Co., Ltd. for site survey. Xianjun Zeng，deputy manager of Kwangfeng, and Jie Chen, the manager of the poultry company gave a warm reception. Both sides had an in-depth exchange on the main work of the Walmart Project Phase II, inspected the farm and made an arrangement for the further work.
