On November 12, 2020, video conference of risk assessment subgroup was held on the topic of data requirement for dynamic quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA). Participants included Prof. Ed Pohl, Asso. Prof. Chase Rainwater, from Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas, and Asso. Prof. Wen Wang, Dr. Xingning Xiao from Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The progress of the project was detailed introduced by leaders of the group in China and in the U.S, respectively. The attendees then had a discussion on data requirement using machine learning on QMRA. The group formulated a research plan in constructing dynamic risk assessment model using machine learning, and clarified the tasks in data collection and model construction between researchers in China and in the U.S.
