Prof. Maohua Wang, Dr. Jianhan Lin, Frank Yiannas and Will Watts had a meeting with Prof. Junshi Chen, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Advisor-in-chief of National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment in Beijing, October 21, 2016. Frank briefly introduced the mission of the Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center and the three priority areas for strengthening China’s food safety and protecting consumers, including innovation, education and policy support. They had a deep exchanges on the GFSI, CFSI and HACCP standards in China, the Food traceability systems, and information technology and agricultural modernization trends influencing grocers in China, etc.
